Terms of Use
Last updated October 24, 2026
These are the rules for using Modable. We kept them as plain as possible — the summary is: you own your mods, paid plans can use them commercially, cancel whenever you want, and don’t use the service to harm anyone.
The service
Modable lets you describe a Minecraft mod in plain English and generates a real, compilable Fabric mod (.jar) from that description using AI. Mods are generated in a cloud build environment and made available for you to download.
Modable generates Minecraft mods only: source code, compiled mods, and the pixel-art textures and blocky 3D models inside them. It does not generate photos, video, audio, or any content depicting real people.
Mods built on the free trial show one line in chat when you join a world, crediting Modable with a link to modable.dev. Mods built on a paid plan don't.
By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Modable.
Your account
You can sign in with your email address or with your Google account. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Modable.
One account per person. Don't share, sell, or transfer your account.
Plans and billing
Modable offers a free trial and paid subscriptions (Pro and Max), billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page and charged in advance each billing period.
Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account page — you keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for, then drop to the free tier. Billing stops automatically; no further charges are made.
Usage limits (mods per month) reset on the 1st of each month. Unused mods don't roll over.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. A price change never applies to a period you've already paid for.
If a payment fails, we may pause paid features until it's resolved. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us — genuine mistakes get refunded.
Your mods
You own the mods you generate with Modable. On paid plans (Pro and Max) you may use them commercially — share them, sell them, include them in modpacks or on servers. On the free trial, mods are for personal, non-commercial use only.
Generated code is produced by AI and may occasionally be similar to other publicly available code. You're responsible for how you use and distribute your mods.
Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang/Microsoft. Modable is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang or Microsoft. Mods you create must comply with the Minecraft EULA.
Acceptable use
Don't use Modable to generate mods that cheat in multiplayer, harass players, steal accounts, distribute malware, or otherwise harm people or their games.
Don't try to break, probe, or overload the service, scrape it, or reverse-engineer it beyond what your generated mod source gives you (your mod source is yours to inspect freely).
Don't use the service to infringe others' intellectual property.
Don't use Modable, or any data obtained through Google sign-in, to create, share or facilitate sexual or intimate content of real people, including AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery, or any content that sexualizes minors.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Serious abuse (malware, attacks) gets reported where appropriate.
What we don't promise
Modable is provided "as is". AI generation is probabilistic — a mod might not match exactly what you imagined, might contain bugs, or might fail to build. Follow-ups in the same session exist so you can refine results.
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Build environments are paused after generation and may expire over time; your finished .jar downloads and account data are the durable record — download mods you care about.
We're not liable for indirect damages (lost worlds, lost revenue, corrupted saves) arising from mods you install. Back up your worlds — that's just good practice with any mod.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim (or $20 if you're on the free trial).
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes to the service or terms
We may update the service and these terms as Modable evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app with the updated date below. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
You can stop using Modable and delete your account at any time from the account page.
